Caitlin Murphy is the founder and CEO of Global Gateway Logistics, a global freight forwarding and NVOCC firm in St. Louis, Missouri. She holds a BSBA in International Business from the University of Missouri and studied at Peking University in Beijing. With 12 years of experience in domestic and global logistics, Murphy has managed extensive logistics projects.
In 2017, Caitlin founded Global Gateway Logistics offering services in global maritime, air, and ground transportation for an array of commodities. Her and her talented team's deep industry knowledge of global shipping markets, process and fundamentals have assisted many firms in strategizing their global supply chains. The firm’s mission is to simplify global logistics through a hybrid approach of customer service and technology.
In 2022, Murphy was appointed to the Missouri Supply Chain Task Force by Governor Mike Parson and named one of the Most Influential Business Women by the St. Louis Business Journal. She was among the youngest women to join a public board with her seat on the Board of Directors at Plymouth Industrial REIT, Inc. (NYSE: PLYM) . In 2024 she was appointed by the Secretary of Commerce to the Missouri District Export Council.
Murphy is focused on creating gateways for advancement for others her company is a conduit for this purpose. Her company’s Gateway For Good program funds skill training for women in poverty, donates supplies to local charities, and sponsors events for children with disabilities and more. She is passionate in promoting the logistics field to women, a traditionally male-dominated industry. She resides in St. Louis with her husband and two children, 11 and 12.
